It’s time for another infographic from our good friends at Grammarly! Today’s campaign is dedicated to those special people who have had an impact on us all: teachers! October 5th is World Teachers’ Day, a day to celebrate educators across the globe. Teaching may be one of the most important jobs in the world, yet over half the countries and territories in the world have a shortage of teachers. To raise awareness of the value that teachers have in our society, Grammarly has put together an infographic detailing statistics about teachers and education around the world.
Enjoy this infographic, and be sure to spread the word to help draw attention to the importance of teachers! And while you’re at it, don’t forget to thank your favorite teacher for the influence they’ve had on your life! Happy World Teachers’ Day!

I’ve never heard of World Teachers’ Day, despite having been a teacher for many years. I agree how important it is to recognise the value of teachers and their roles in our lives. I still remember some of my own teachers who had a great impact on my life, my love of learning and the desire to help others to learn. Unfortunately, teachers today are vastly underrated and so many (in the UK at least) are leaving the profession. Relatively poor pay, huge class sizes and work overload are the main reasons fot this.
It’s a shame that teachers aren’t nearly as valued and appreciated as they should be. I’ve had quite a few teachers who inspired my passion for learning. A notable example is my sixth-grade Social Studies teacher; I had never been fond of History, but somehow she always made it interesting and fun to learn! Hopefully more people will be inspired to become teachers, as the world can never have enough! Thanks for reading! Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🙂
