Who am I?
Hi there! I’m J.C. Wolfe, and I’m a fiction writer. Most of my writing is in the form of short stories and flash fiction of varying genres, though I also like to turn out the occasional poem. My real goal, however, is to be a novelist, especially of science fiction/fantasy and romance novels. Although I’ve been writing as a hobby for years, my past ventures attaining a Bachelor of Science and my research in southern Brazil mean the pursuit of my artistic dream has only begun recently, which makes me a very new face in the outside world of writers. Here’s hoping I can make it!
Aside from my primary hobby of creative writing, I enjoy singing to nobody in particular, spending countless hours on video games, and staring out my window at the distant ocean. I love nature and have idealistic visions about protecting the environment, though I often tend to dedicate much more time to my artistic hobbies than to putting my degree in Biological Sciences to practical use. I usually prefer the company of animals over that of humans, and I strongly believe that love is one of the most powerful forces in the world.
And I wish I could fly.
What is The Wolfe’s Den (and why should you care)?
This is my creative writing blog. It’s where I find the freedom to express myself in the greatest way I know how: my unique writer’s voice. Here, I share my thoughts on various creative writing topics (and occasionally some other random subjects), as well as my own original works of fiction. My blogging schedule is as follows:
- Mondays: Word of the Week, News (when applicable), Journal (a.k.a. Random Thoughts That Don’t Fit Anywhere Else On This Blog)
- Wednesdays: Creative Writing topics
- Fridays: Stories and Poetry
So how can this blog benefit you? Well, that depends. If you’re an animal lover who stumbled onto this site looking for information about actual wolves, then it probably won’t do you much good. If, however, you’re an avid reader always looking for fresh fiction from new writers, you may enjoy reading the stories and poems that I post weekly. And if you’re a writer, especially an aspiring author like myself, you might like reading my take on all the different topics of writing I discuss (or will eventually discuss) in my blog, and even have fun joining in the discussion yourself. In fact, you may be able to teach me even more than I can teach you!
So please, feel free to explore my site and read my blog. I hope you’ll enjoy what you find here, and I welcome your opinions and constructive feedback on my work. Happy reading!
