I don’t have a clue who I am,
But I know exactly what I want.
I want to act selfish sometimes,
But I like being seen as a nice person.
I want to prove myself an individual,
But I care too much what other people think.
I want to share my interests,
But I’m afraid I’ll annoy people with them.
I want to be offered help,
But I get angry when I can’t do things by myself.
I want to talk about my problems,
But I don’t want to burden anyone.
I want people to know me well,
But I hate being predictable.
I want everyone to know how I’m feeling
Without me having to tell them.
I want close friendships
Without the effort of maintaining them.
I want to pour my heart out
While still being mysterious.
I want to be loved by everyone
Without giving a damn what anyone thinks of me.
I don’t have a clue what I want,
But I know exactly who I am:
A walking paradox.

Quakes
Beneath
The ocean
Break the water
Into one
Massive
Wave
Wave
Rising
From the sea,
Wash everything
Away from
The cold
Earth

Ten seconds to midnight
Nine minutes walked to the beach
Eight free viewing spots by the ocean
Seven waves to jump for good luck
Six family members huddled on the sand
Five fireworks shows along the shore
Four wishes of successful new endeavors
Three more New Year’s resolutions
Two promises of love yet unbroken
One more year begins!
Happy New Year! May you all have a wonderful 2016!

Deck the halls with holly.
Roast chestnuts on a fire.
Hear the soft angelic voices
Of a caroling children’s choir.
Snowflakes frost the windows
In the quiet winter air,
While the smell of fresh-baked cookies
Wafts through houses everywhere.
Candy canes fill stockings
Hung above the fireplace.
Loved ones joined around the table
Start a feast by saying grace.
Excited little children
Gaze up at the starry sky
To catch a glimpse of Santa
And his reindeer that can fly.
The family all gathers
Round the decorated tree
As they give each other presents
And they share each other’s glee!
‘Tis the season to be jolly!
May your day be full of cheer!
Have a very Merry Christmas
And a wonderful New Year!
Merry Christmas to all my family, friends, and readers who are celebrating! May you all have a blessed weekend and a wonderful holiday season!

Crystal rain falling
Sprinkled all across the land
Winter has arrived
Icy wind blowing
Snowflakes dancing on the breeze
Shine in the moonlight
Magic in the air
Virgin snow brightens the world
A white wonderland
