My Colorful Garden
Red roses spread their petals
As they softly bloom at dawn.
The orange daffodils
Brighten up the well-kept lawn.
The yellow daisies smile
At the golden morning sun
From the green grass where they blossomed
In the midst of summer fun.
The blue forget-me-nots
Shine like stars amid the trees,
While the lavenders and violets
Spread sweet scents along the breeze.
Pink orchids grace the days
With their beauty like a kiss,
And white lilies bless the evenings
With a charm of peace and bliss.
So step into my garden
Full of yellows, reds and blues,
Where the colors of the flowers
Paint a rainbow just for you.
Patriot Day

Every American’s life changed forever when those
Violent attacks began and the towers came down.
Eleven years old at the time, I watched the news in school, and
Recall that day now as if it were yesterday.
Fourteen years have passed since the twin towers fell, and we
Only grow stronger in our love for our country.
Remember the day, fellow Americans.
Give a moment of silence for the lives lost on the
Eleventh of September 2001, when the
Tragedy in New York shook the world.
A peaceful September 11 to all my fellow Americans. May we never forget the tragedy of the 9-11 attacks against our nation. A blessed weekend to you all!

Beautiful Earth full of life,
I love to study your ecosystems, from your
Oceans teeming with fascinating creatures to your
Landscapes rich with lush vegetation.
Only your beautiful nature, rich with
Greens and blues, can pique such curiosity in me.
Your living world is my science, my knowledge, my life!
Beautiful Brown Eyes
As I lay back on the bed
And you lay over me,
I look up at your face
Smiling down at me,
And I think to myself,
He has such beautiful eyes.
Dark brown eyes,
So warm and inviting.
When they look into mine,
I can see the love in them,
The kindness,
The humility,
The passion.
And when I look back into them,
I feel at peace.
Those eyes say so much
Even when his lips
Don’t say a word.
They tell me such sweet things:
I adore you,
I want you,
I need you,
I love you.
And they always perfectly match
The feelings in my heart.
I know those eyes
Belong to a man
Who cares for me,
Who respects me,
Who treats me well and
Who loves me
With all his heart.
And I know that when I’m with him,
I am home.
All this takes but a second
To cross my mind,
But that one second
Is more than enough.
I smile back up at you,
Pull you close,
And kiss your lips,
Elated to know that
Only I will ever see
The true depth of the love
In your beautiful brown eyes.

Midnight at the Ball
I knew it was love.
When we danced, the world stood still.
Then the clock chimed once.
Suddenly she froze.
Timidly, I took her hand
As the clock chimed twice.
Just one kiss, I wished.
At the third chime, I leaned in…
But she turned and fled.
Four chimes in, I paused.
That was when I realized,
I don’t know her name.
Terror seized my heart.
No, I cannot lose her now.
Five chimes in, I ran.
Chasing after her,
I could hear the sixth chime ring.
Please come back, I begged.
At the seventh chime,
All I found upon the stairs
Was her glass slipper.
As the eighth chime rang,
I looked down and saw her there,
Running through the doors.
Glass slipper in hand,
I followed her down the path
To the clock’s ninth chime.
I stopped at the gate.
The tenth chime sent her carriage
Out into the night.
Eleven chimes in.
Desperately I called to her.
Just once, she looked back.
Midnight, she was gone.
Lovesick and alone I stood
As the clock struck twelve.
Little Angel
Her eyes are like the stars
That twinkle in the night.
Her laughter is the sun
That makes our days so bright.
Her smile is like a light
That can brighten any place.
It’s my favorite feature
Of her pretty little face.
She has a songbird’s voice;
I love it when she sings.
She’s great at dancing, acting,
And a hundred other things.
She’s charming, sweet, and funny.
Her heart is full of love.
There really is no question:
She’s a gift sent from above!
If I could tell her one thing
Right now, it would be this:
“I love you, little angel!
Happy Birthday, baby sis!”
Happy Birthday to my awesome baby sister! Keep on being the little angel you are! I love you!
Red, White and Blue
Always do I think fondly of you,
My beloved homeland.
Every day, I miss your beautiful flag,
Red, white and blue waving high above me.
I will return to you someday,
Country of freedom and opportunity.

My witty little sister
Is a gift sent from above.
She fills our days with laughter,
Silliness and lots of love.
She’s always been quite clever,
Just as smart as she is fun.
Her comments are notorious
For amusing everyone.
Her jokes are sharp yet tasteful,
And they never lack in style.
Her charming disposition
Never fails to make us smile.
The speed of her responses
Leaves me awed in many ways.
Comebacks that take her seconds
Would take me at least three days!
My witty little sister
Brings me joy when I feel blue.
Every day, I want to tell her,
“Dearest sister, I love you!”

To The Man I Admire Most
Man I’ve looked up to my whole life,
You are a true hero in my eyes.
Support me through all my endeavors.
Understand me like no one else does.
Protect me from the evils in the world.
Entertain me with your witty humor.
Rescue me in my times of need.
My dear father, you are my hero.
Always be my Superman, and I will
Never stop loving you with all my heart!
